Fellside House, Pennington, near Ulverston, Cumbria: House History
Fellside House is a large residence on the edge of the village of Pennington. It seems to be 18th century in origin, although a house probably existed on the site before this date. Its early history is confused by the nearby Fellside Farm (previously called Moorside Farm), which dates back to the 17th century. The house was originally a relatively simple structure, but it was massively enlarged or entirely rebuilt on at least one occasion in the mid to late 19th century.
